Action Learning - some thoughts.

“The original problem is very rarely the problem that ends up being addressed”.
Maybe its seems obvious as you hear it but I have to say that since I’ve heard in class and now read about upgraded my way of approaching problems now. What I am trying to say that it is worthwhile to look for the root cause instead of immediate bandaging the wounds.
That's why so many of our problems don't remain solved. When we think we know what the problem is and try to provide a solution (because that is what is expected of us as leaders), we miss an opportunity to examine the issue in all its depth and complexity
This approach actually makes your sollution worth implementing and may improve overall performance of systems you are working with. I strongly advice reading this article it really improves the way we see problems and try to solve them.

I agree. General view of a problem is very often delusive. We are trying to find a solution and after implementing it (if found) we realise that it doesn't really work for us or even causes more problems.

Our project describes such a situation quite good. If we didn't look into details of problem connected with group management, we would say that it is people different characters that cause tensions and bad atmosphere inside development teams.

Analyzing the problem (dividing it into subproblems) is a key step in solving it.
