One of the chapters which I have found in book: The Data Model Resource Book: A Library of Universal Data Models for All Enterprises, Revised Edition, Volume 1 written by Len Silverstone is Data Model: Work Effort.
The details of the data model in this chapter involve the requirement for work efforts, creation of work efforts, scheduling of resources, and completion of work efforts. Included are the complete breakdown of work efforts to other work efforts and the tracking of assignments of people, fixed assets, and inventory necessary for the completion of the tasks. Incorporated into the model as well are the entities needed to record the standards associated with type of work efforts as well as the actual results from work efforts.
That chapter illustrate the following models:
· Work requirements
· Work requirement roles
· Work effort generation (alternate model also provided)
· Work effort associations
· Work effort party assignment
· Work effort time tracking
· Work effort rates
· Inventory item assignment
· Fixed asset assignment
· Party fixed asset assignment
· Work effort type standards
· Work effort results
