Health care continued :)

While listening to our presentation of KM proposal for Polish health care system, you might wonder if there is some data model that can be implemented. In Len Silverston's book “The Data Model Resource Book: A Library of Universal Data Models by Industry Types, Revised Edition, Volume 2” in Chapter 4 I found a data model corresponding to the problem we showed during the presentation, namely lack of patients registration that leads to financial problems.
In the book there is a data model described that can effectively manage every single entity of the system, i.e. clients, doctors, payments, providers, medical history, etc.
There are also common problems of health care explained. One can find that running the information system using described data model would help to solve many problems. This could lead to better quality of services. What is more, the model is clear, so it should prevent against some abuses or frauds.
