Put Structured Data at Employees’ Fingertips

This text mainly explains how the search engines should work in order to provide the enterprise users information they seek.
Search engines have to be capable of searching unstructured data. What is more such engine must “know” how data is related. For example it should understand that customers info is related to orders, so when someone wrote customer name search engine should output links to the all other information related to that particular customer, like orders per last month and so on.
More precisely enterprise search solutions have to cover following three areas:
User roles – its not web, users have different tasks
Interrelation between business objects – data is related, as mentioned above customer -> orders
Security – most information are confidential within the company.
Concluding only the enterprise vendors have knowledge to build such software, because who could know better how to develop enterprise search engine if not company that develop enterprise software J.
